CONTINUUM Attractions has announced Sue Garland has been appointed as chairperson with immediate affect.

The York visitor attraction group has welcomed Ms Garland, who started her working life at GCHQ, then moved from inspecting hotels for the English Tourist Board to policy, strategy and marketing for the British Tourist Authority (now VisitBritain), where as Deputy and Acting CEO, she was responsible for a budget of more than £50 million.

Continuum’s chief executive Juliana Delaney said: “Continuum Attractions has had a tremendous period of growth over the past few years and we aim to maintain that performance across our portfolio.

“With her broad experience and great contacts across the industry, Sue will certainly support and challenge us to do our best.”

NORTH Yorkshire temperature controlled storage and distribution business Reed Boardall has appointed Graeme Richardson as managing director of its transport division.

With expertise in operations management, logistics and supply chain management, Mr Richardson joins the Boroughbridge-headquartered firm from National Holidays Ltd where he was a director. Previously, he spent five years with Tesco and prior to that was regional planning manager with Eddie Stobart.

CABLE cleat manufacturer Ellis has expanded its in-house product design team with the appointment of Tom Dunbar as design engineer.

Mr Dubar, wo has vast experience in various mechanical design and draughtsman roles, joins a team headed by chief engineer, Stephen Walton, which is responsible for new product design, existing product development, product testing and the company’s burgeoning bespoke solutions facility from its factory, design and distribution hub in Rillington.
