YORK Professionals will be raising money at its flagship Annual Dinner this month to support a fellow member on a 100-mile walking challenge.
Catherine Adamson, pictured, of Kaleidoscope Virtual Assistant Services, intends to walk the entire length of the Cleveland Way to raise money for two local charities - 'The Island', which supports vulnerable young people and SASH, which works to prevent youth homelessness.
Pre-dinner speaker Declan Curry, journalist and broadcaster, has offered to donate his fee to the cause. This will be added to monies raised on the night through a charity tombola with a selection of prizes donated from the city’s businesses.
Anne Taylor, chairwoman of York Professionals said: "York Professionals is delighted to support Catherine’s bold endeavour. I’m going to join her for one leg of her journey, a 15-mile trek to Sandsend."
The York Professionals Annual Dinner is being held on May 24 at York Racecourse.
