AN award-winning young entrepreneur is expanding his business.

Ben Lawson, owner of No Limits Cycling, is opening a new bike shop in Malton on Saturday, March 24.

The 21-year-old, who won Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the Ryedale Business Awards 2018 in January, will be offerings a complete service centre for repairing bikes, as well as accessories.

Ben said: “I believe bike shops can be pretty intimidating for a lot of people and sometimes judgmental.

"The image I have gone for is a welcoming, friendly environment, allowing customers to feel relaxed when walking through the door.

“There will be a seating area where you can relax and enjoy a hot drink while taking bikes.”

Ben has an extensive background in mountain biking, winning national championship titles, regional championships and European podiums and will also be running No Limits Cycling, his coaching business, from the shop.

“I have turned my focus from winning races to encouraging young riders into the sport and sharing my knowledge to better everyone’s performance," he said.

“I have always been passionate about cycling and involved in the sport from a young age, owning my own shop was always a childhood dream but to turn that dream into reality feels very special.

“I would like to thank every customer, follower and believer. Also, the Fitzwilliam Estate Malton, who have been a huge part of turning my childhood dream into reality. They have been super supportive from day one.”

The No Limits Cycling shop is at 2 Mount Road, Malton.

The official opening will take place on Saturday, March 24, from 1pm to 7pm.
