YORK is to get its third escape room attraction as a Scottish businesses opens its first site south of the border.
Breakout Games is opening a venue in the city having converted premises in Tower Street, creating up to 12 new jobs.
Branded Mindlock York, the new venture will feature a Viking Valhalla room.
Breakout Games has invested more than £50,000 in the Mindlock York premises and taken a five-year lease on the building. It was advised on the lease by James Bradley of Langleys Solicitors, pictured.
Breakout Games launched its first venue in Aberdeen three years ago. It has since gone on to open escape rooms in Inverness and Dundee.
Hollie Kelly runs the business with her husband Gilan. She said: “York is a great tourism destination with the right customer demographic for our entertainment-based business.”
The Mindlock York attraction joins GR8escape in Colliergate and Can You Escape in Micklegate.
