EMPLOYEES from York-based national engineering specialist SES picked up awards at a regional industry event.

The CIBSE (Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers) Yorkshire Awards saw York project engineer Emily Marner awarded the Yorkshire Young Engineer of the Year Award.

Ms Marner, who has been with SES for nine years joined the company as an apprentice and is now studying at Leeds Beckett University for a BSC in Building Services.

The awards also saw SES building physics engineering manager Nick Darling take the Yorkshire Region Student of the Year title after being nominated by Brunel University, in London, where he is studying for an MSC in Building Services Engineering with Sustainable Energy

SES employs 27 trainees.
