The New Year has seen a newly relaunched York hotel create an in-house team to lead initiatives to benefit guests, colleagues, and the local community.
Comprising of staff of all levels and from all departments, the primary role of the DoubleTree by Hilton York CARE Committee is to monitor the hotel’s overall business performance and seek ways to improve it.
Additionally, a sub-committee will be formed to look at the hotel’s relationship with the York community, and examine ways it can become more involved, particularly in relation to helping and supporting charities.
Hotel manager Graham Usher said: “I’m delighted to say there was no shortage of volunteers when we asked for colleagues to help drive the CARE agenda forward.”
