A CITY centre pub is set to reopen in York later this month after undergoing a £130,000 refurbishment.
Keystones, in Monkgate, has been upgraded by parent firm Stonegate Pub Company.
The six-figured investment has seen the creations of four new jobs at the Grade II listed pub, which boasts its own medieval ice-house.
The refurbishment included the installation of retro gaming stations, USB points throughout the property as well as the addition of five new craft beers and three draught beers to the bar.
Manager Rob Highland said: “We’re already a hot spot for work, fun and relaxation, but the truth is we’ve maxed out our current potential and so we’re regenerating, adding new social areas and a lively play zone which makes the very best of a diamond sized pub.”
Craft and cask are being sourced locally from Brew York, Ilkley Brewery Company, The Great Yorkshire Brewery and Beer Monkey Brew Co. Keystones is due to reopen on January 17.
