A REDUNDANT residential home has been transformed into a luxury hotel, renamed from St Martin’s Lodge to The Chapel House Hotel & Restaurant, with support from a six-figure funding package from HSBC.
With renovation now complete, the hotel and restaurant, in South Cliff, Scarborough, has 14 en-suite bedrooms and provides guests and the public with a restaurant and bar.
With the support of a commercial loan from HSBC, Andrew and Mica Wyatt refurbished the old residential home and transformed it into luxury accommodation.
The deal was led by Martin Goodall, HSBC’s Relationship Manager for North and East Yorkshire, and provided the financial foundations needed to renovate the hotel and expand and cement its business in Scarborough.
The opening of The Chapel House has created seven new jobs. It will be managed alongside the couple's previously renovated 9 bedroom hotel, 17 West Street.
