A YORK hotel has bid a happy retirement to a conference organiser who has brought his two-day meeting to the city for the last two decades.
And to thank David Andrews for his 18 years of business, staff from the Doubletree by Hilton York presented him with a celebratory cake made by the hotel’s kitchen staff.
Mr Andrews first came to York in 2000, when he staged the third annual National Conference for Careers Leaders in Schools and Colleges. He said: “I’ve loved coming to this hotel. From the very first time I booked the conference here, I knew I would be well looked after.
Graham Usher, general manager of the Doubletree by Hilton York, said: “David is a valued customer, extremely popular amongst the staff, and it has been our pleasure to have hosted his conference.”
