A COSMETIC clinic in York welcomed more than 50 trainee surgeons last week when it played host to the national conference for the British Association of Plastic Surgeons.
Having only ever been hosted in London at the Royal College of Surgeons, and once in Bristol, the conference was this year held at Face Etc Medispa in Coppergate.
The York clinic showcased and taught the latest surgical and non-surgical therapies to 54 trainee surgeons from across the UK.
Sophie Clovis, marketing manager at Face Etc, said: “Having lectured at last year’s conference in Bristol, Face Etc owner and resident plastic surgeon Nick Rhodes, was asked by the association to offer further sessions at this year’s conference.
“It made sense to go one better and offer a full day of training here in his own clinic- a day which has proved so popular there were twice the usual number of delegates.”
Mr Rhodes and wife Orla took over Face Etc in January, and have since achieved Care Quality Commission status for a new operating room.
