A NORTH Yorkshire property developer is embarking on the first phase of a new growth strategy with a move to new, larger offices closer to York and several staff appointments.

Mulgrave Properties has moved its head office to Chessingham Park in Dunnington from Easingwold and now has 3000 sq. ft. of office space.

The move to larger space was part of ambitions to offer customers the opportunity to visit the office to progress their house buying process as well as allowing the business space for future growth.

The Mulgrave Properties team is also growing with the creation of three new roles within the business. Kevin Hoyland has been appointed as construction director, Melanie Powls as field sales manager and Rob Martin as technical co-ordinator.

Kevin Hoyland joins the business from Linden Homes where he was associate construction director for seven years and Melanie Powls joins from Mulberry Homes where she was sales manager for four years.

Speaking of the business’s recent growth, Ian Hessay, managing director of Mulgrave Properties, said: “Mulgrave Properties is looking to expand its operation with multiple new developments planned for 2018 and we have been putting the foundations in place to support that with the new office and recent recruitment.

“The business has been very successful in recent years with award winning developments across the region and we are now in a great position to build on that as we look ahead to next year.”

Mulgrave Properties currently has a development of 10, two, three and four bedroom properties in Little Crakehall near Bedale.

Melanie Powls, field sales manager at Mulgrave Properties said: “I am delighted to have joined the Mulgrave Properties team.

“I admire the business’s approach of creating exceptionally high quality, design led homes in exclusive locations and I am very much looking forward to working with our customers to provide them with homes they’ll love to live in.”

Earlier this year Mulgrave Properties won the ‘Best New Small Housing Development’ at the 2017 LABC North and East Yorkshire Building Excellence Awards for The Parade development in Sandsend, near Whitby.

The development of three homes was announced as the winner from a shortlist of three developments. Mulgrave Properties was also nominated in the awards for the ‘Best Local Builder or Traditional Craftmanship’ award.
