AWARD winning York hair salon Bang has celebrated a decade in business.
The city’s De Grey Rooms were lit up as Bang’s directors Jon and Sarah Cotton, pictured, entertained a 200 strong crowd with live music, cabaret and a catwalk display.
In celebrating its 10 year anniversary the business also supported St. Leonard’s Hospice and York Mind raising nearly £1900 to be split equally between the two causes.
Mr Cotton said: “We love to throw a good party and we’re thrilled at how successful the evening was and that we managed to raise a decent amount of money for two charities that are very dear to our hearts.”
In its 10 years Bang has grown from a corner shop in Gillygate and Lord Mayor’s Walk in 2007 to two sites in Low Petergate, which opened in 2011, and Bishopthorpe Road which is now two years old. In that time, they have also been winners and finalists in more than 30 industry awards.
