A YORK-based animal health company has been recognised for a major acquisition which transformed its fortunes.
Animalcare Group plc won AIM Transaction of the Year Award at the AIM Awards 2017 - held on Thursday night.
The award is given to a company that has been transformed by a single financial or commercial transaction, creating significant shareholder value.
Animalcare Group plc won with its acquisition of Ecuphar NV, a European animal health company that develops and sells veterinary pharmaceutical products.
The deal transformed the group increasing the stock market value of the company to around £200 million, and the enlarged group is now a growing, highly cash generative, dividend paying company.
The AIM Awards, now it their 22nd year, brings together quoted companies and entrepreneurs across the AIM market to recognise their achievements, growth in the last twelve months.
