FORMER minister, businessman and well-respected advocate for business Lord Digby Jones will be hosting an event at Duncombe Park, Helmsley on Friday, October 13 at 7pm.
The Helmsley in Business event will see Lord Digby talk about his life and his new book Fixing Business: Making Profitable Business Work for the Good of All.
The book looks at why profit isn't a dirty word but an important part of socially inclusive wealth creation to improve every aspect of society.
Lord Digby Jones is a crossbench peer in the UK House of Lords, a former minister of state for UK Trade & Investment and is chairman of Triumph Motorcycles.
A former corporate lawyer and director general of the CBI, he speaks around the world on all aspects of business, including the wider political and societal scene
Tickets at £20 will include a signed copy of his second book, Fixing Business, wine and canapes. All the proceeds will go towards renovations of the church in Old Byland.
