YORK Entrepreneurs’ Business Breakfast, now in its third year, will take place on Thursday, November 23 at 8.30am at the unique Masonic Hall in Duncombe Place.

As part of York Business Week, the free event is aimed at those already running a business and those looking to start one.

It will be a chance to network informally with business people, City of York Council, Make It York, business groups and guilds.

It is being organised by Councillor Ashley Mason (Liberal Democrat, Dringhouses and Woodthorpe Ward). Cllr Mason, who started running his own business at the age of 18 is a former winner of Young Entrepreneur Of The Year.

Cllr Mason said: "Small businesses and entrepreneurs are the life-blood of the local economy and this will be a great opportunity for people to network and pick-up some useful tips and contacts.

Cllr Mason added: "I would like to thank the Masonic Hall for hosting the breakfast and all those that have already confirmed they are attending – tickets are already proving popular.

"We especially welcome those who do not normally consider themselves an entrepreneur, such as sole traders.

"Young people with an interest in enterprise are also encouraged to attend."
