BUSINESSES in York are being invited to sign up to a new regional initiative aimed at boosting the international economic success of the Leeds City Region by promoting overseas trade.

ExportExchange offers advice to firms new to selling overseas from companies already exporting.

More than 50 businesses have already signed up to become ‘patrons’ of the scheme, including York Racecourse, which is today hosting an ExportExchange breakfast seminar.

Victoria Boldison, ExportExchange network manager, said: “There are lots of sources of information on selling overseas but with ExportExchange fledgling exporters can tap into genuine practical advice from people like York Racecourse CEO William Derby who have already built up experience in overseas markets to become successful exporters.”
