BUSINESSES in Selby are being offered a three-hour workshop to bring them up to speed with the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) that come into force in May 2018.
Businesses will have to understand how to obtain, use and keep personal data for staff, clients, customers and suppliers within the legal frameworks.
It will include the principles of processing personal data, obligations, security and how individuals rights can impact on your business
The workshop will run from 9am until noon on September 28 with Samantha Dunwell of Dunwell Data Protection, a former information governance manager and data protection officer.
