A FOURTH generation baker has branched out with the opening of a new salumeria.
James Costello, who is known for the pies, sausage rolls and scones he sells from his Costello’s shops in Malton and Driffield, has created a dried meat and cheese business.
Opening in Malton’s Navigation Wharf, next to the Talbot Hotel, Costello’s Salumeria offers meat and cheese from across Italy, Spain and France, as well as locally sourced produce.
Mr Costello said: “It’s a fabulous building with a real food-lovers feel to it. The ambience is perfect. There’s a truly European feel to the shop and mixed with the Yorkshire magic that comes with our offering, as well as Malton itself, we’re already getting incredibly positive feedback.”
