NORTH Yorkshire furniture maker Treske has been enlisted by a neighbouring Michelin-starred restaurant to supply its refurbished dining room.
The Thirsk-based business has provided 50 of its award winning Artisan Neva oak chairs to the Black Swan at Oldstead.
Head chef Tommy Banks said: “We set out to refurbish the restaurant last summer. Trying to find something that would fit in with the style of both the 16th Century farm house that encloses the restaurant and our food was hard.
“Sourcing our produce locally is very important to us, so with Treske based only eight miles away it was our first port of call to find chairs.”
Justin Bartlett, managing director of Treske, said: “It is a real privilege to be chosen to supply our chairs to a restaurant of the quality and reputation of the Black Swan. We are delighted to be part of their journey – and a small part of one of Yorkshire’s greatest culinary success stories.”
