YORK college is looking for employers to partner with as it launches new apprenticeships in Biological Science.
Starting in September the Higher National Certificate (HNC) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Biological Sciences in Industry, will cover a range of subjects related to biology and laboratory based workplace practices.
FERA is one of the first local employers to champion the course, taking on three apprentices.
Prof. Rick Mumford, director of Science at Fera Science said: “As a major life sciences employer, Fera needs access to high level skills and expertise. As a result, we recognise the vital importance of new courses such as the HNC and HND Biological Sciences in Industry being offered by York College, in order to help us develop our existing staff and bring in new talent.”
