YORK-based global footwear retailer Pavers Shoes has won the Family Business Award of Excellence in the EY North Entrepreneur Of The Year 2017.
Stuart Paver said: “This is a tremendous honour, which is a great tribute to everyone who works at our family business.
“We have a loyal and committed workforce and I would like to dedicate this award to them.
“On a personal note, it is both fitting and emotional that we have won this important award in the year when the founder of Pavers, my mother Cathy, passed away.
“The honour is a reflection of her vision and hard work and it means a great deal to all of us here at Pavers.”
The fast-growing shoe business was founded in 1971 in York and is now one of the UK’s leading shoe retailers with over 100 outlets in the UK and Ireland.
