INTURF has appointed Guy Barrett as operations director as part of a strategy to dramatically increase turf production to meet sustained increased demand.

Mr Barret, who went to school in Pocklington, brings with him nearly 40 years of turf production experience in every part of the UK, latterly at board level.

Alex Edwards, joint managing director of Wilberfoss-based Inturf, said: “Sales have been increasing exponentially for some time now. With increased production, we could sell even more so we’re excited by the contribution that Guy can make.”

Mr Barrett said: “I’ve known and respected INTURF all my working life and now relish the opportunity of using my experience to help them realise their vision.”

INDEPENDENT Yorkshire furniture and kitchen manufacturer Treske has strengthened its award-winning team with a key senior appointment.

Tom Moore joins Thirsk-based Treske as a church furniture designer having previously worked in London for competitor Luke Hughes.

HARROGATE Family Law has appointed North Yorkshire family lawyer Carol Jessop as partner.

Ms Jessop sits on the national Standards Committee for the family law body Resolution and is accredited by the organisation as a specialist in cohabitation and complex financial divorce cases. She joins from Langleys in York.
