A DIGITAL makeover at York’s city centre McDonald’s has created 15 new jobs.
Investment from franchisee John Atherton has seen the introduction of seven self-order kiosks, accompanied by dedicated “dining room hosts”, as well as digital upgrades in the kitchen.
From yesterday the Blake Street restaurant is also trailing a mobile ordering service via an app.
Mr Atherton, said: “These changes have been designed to make our customers’ experience as positive as possible and the new technology benefits everyone – whether that’s providing people with a chance to get to grips with a tablet in a relaxed environment, or providing parents with a quick way of ordering food. We’re confident these new digital upgrades will be a welcome addition.”
