YORK trampoline park has hit unexpected heights in its first year as visitor numbers soar to more than 250,000.
Energi Trampoline Park , at York Business Park, has marked the first anniversary.
The park was set up by Guy Kilner and Aaron Cook, who left careers in construction and IT to launch the venture, which now employs a team of more than 75 staff.
Mr Cook said: “The industry is quite new, so when we started we were very much going into the unknown as there were only a handful of similar parks. We thought if we could get 100,000 visitors in the first year we would be happy. To say York Minster welcomes around 500,000 guests a year, and we are half way to achieving that after one year as a leisure park, well we are just delighted, and very proud to still be here.”
