A BUDDING artist has been chosen as the winner of a competition to design a new school logo.
Oscar Evans, a Year 3 pupil at St Benedict’s School, Ampleforth, produced the winning entry in the competition, which was open to children throughout the school.
Emma Barrs, head of school, said they had wanted a new design which was child-friendly and encapsulated what St Benedict’s was about.
“Oscar’s design reflected the Catholic faith with the cross, our learning with the book and our rural location symbolised by the tree,” she said.
“We were very impressed with Oscars logo which will be on our website, uniform and letterheads.”
