A MAJOR York firm has raised more than £13,000 for a local charity.
The Hiscox office in York supported Martin House Children’s Hospice as its charity of the year in 2016, having been touched by the care and support they offer families across Yorkshire. The whole office got involved in fundraising, through bake sales, quiz nights and various local races, to raise as much money as possible and those combined efforts saw the team beat their fundraising target to raise a grand total of £13,079.72. John Haigh from Martin House, said: “Martin House has been thrilled to be supported by such an active and dynamic company as Hiscox – their teams have made such a difference to our children and families– with the fundraising total of over £13,000 being one of our largest corporate donations this year. The Hiscox contribution will live on by giving benefit to many of the more than 550 local children and families cared for and supported by Martin House each year.”
