ICE cream makers will be flocking to Harrogate this week for the industry’s biggest trade show.

The Ice Cream Expo is organised by the Ice Cream Alliance (ICA) - the trade association for the industry - and the annual show is taking place at the Yorkshire Exhibition Centre, in Harrogate, from Tuesday to Thursday this week.

It is expected to attract more than 2,000 visitors, and ICA chief executive Zelica Carr said they expect a successful year for exhibitors. She said: “The UK has a reputation for innovation and quality which is attracting a growing interest in the expo from international buyers and decision makers.

“Combine this with buyers from an already strong and confident UK market and the scene is set for another bumper event.”

The Expo will also host the prestigious National Ice Cream Competition where ice cream producers from across the UK vie to be crowned the champion ice cream maker.
