DOUBLE celebrations are on the horizon for a York communications agency as hopes for award success adorn an anniversary year.

While 2017 sees RED Publications celebrate a decade in business, the York Eco Centre-based business has been shortlisted for eight awards in the Institute of Internal Communication (IoIC)’s Central & North Awards.

The awards recognise excellence in the internal communication industry and RED is up for accolades in a number of categories, including Best Agency, Best Public Sector Communications and Best Magazine as well as Design and Imagery.

Having grown from a start-up venture, formed in the back bedroom of director Andy Douse’s home in Strensall, RED has grown over the last ten years to an award-winning agency with a team of nine, boasting a creative mix of internal communications experts, writers and designers.

The agency has grown its client base to work with a range of organisations in a number of sectors, including the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, City of York Council, Anglian Water and Drax Group.

Mr Douse said: “We love making a positive difference within the organisations where we work, and these nominations show our clients’ commitment to improving the performance of their business by engaging with their employees.

“I’m really proud of our team at RED. The IoIC awards are highly respected in the industry, and making the shortlist for so many categories is a reflection of everyone’s creativity, dedication and hard work.

“To top it all, this year’s awards dinner is coming to York – so it’s bound to be a great night. Good luck to all those shortlisted.”

The winners of the IoIC awards will be announced at a celebration awards dinner at the National Railway Museum on March 16. A win will mark further success in the awards for RED following success in 2014 when it was named Agency of the Year in the North. The team at RED produce printed and digital newsletters, magazines and newspapers as well as working on corporate branding.
