A SERIES of events should bring a real buzz to York.

York Coffee Emporium is holding its first Festival of Coffee from Tuesday, November 1, to Friday, November 4, with a launch party for its new roastery on Wednesday, November 2, at the Rose Centre, York Business Park.

This will be an opportunity to showcase the new facility to the its wholesale customers, prospective customers, suppliers and local VIPs, to show off the artisan nature of how the emporium works and how its coffee is small batch roasted and ground and packed by hand within a few days of being roasted.

The business is also celebrating its acquisition this spring by the Selby-based Upton Group.

Laurence Beardmore, from the emporium, said: “These are very exciting times for York Coffee Emporium. We have made significant investment in both people, technology and processes so we can provide an even better service to our customers.”

People can take part in a “name that festival blend” competition by going to the York Coffee Emporium Facebook page until Friday.
