AN ENTREPRENEURS' business breakfast will take place next month at York Art Gallery.

As part of York Business Week, the event is aimed at those already running a business and those looking to start one.

It will be a chance to network informally with other business people and representatives from City of York Council, Make It York, business groups and guilds.

It is being organised by Liberal Democrat councillor for Dringhouses and Woodthorpe Ashley Mason, who started running his own business aged 18 and is a former winner of Young Entrepreneur Of The Year.

He said: "Small businesses and entrepreneurs are the life-blood of the local economy and this will be a great opportunity for people to network and pick-up some useful tips and contacts.

"I would like to thank the Art Gallery for hosting the breakfast and all those that have already confirmed they are attending – tickets are already proving popular.

"We especially welcome those who do not normally consider themselves an entrepreneur – such as sole traders.

"Young people with an interest in enterprise are also encouraged to attend."

The event will be opened by Reyahn King, Chief Executive of York Museums Trust.

It is taking place on Tuesday, November 15 from 9am to10am.
