EMPLOYMENT issues in the manufacturing sector will come under the spotlight at a seminar in York hosted by Langleys Solicitors and Hays Recruitment.

The industry is facing several challenges, including increased costs from the National Living Wage and the introduction of the apprenticeship levy.

Mini Setty, partner in employment law at Langleys, said: “Employers in the manufacturing sector have many challenges to contend with while at the same time dealing with the uncertainty which surrounds the impact of Brexit on their businesses and employees.

“Our seminar will explore the key issues, which also include managing skills shortages, sickness absence and misconduct in the workplace.”

The joint event takes place on Thursday, September 29, at Langleys’ Queens House offices in Micklegate, from 8am to 10am.
