A YORK ‘hybrid’ estate agency has won an award for exceptional customer service.

A Gold Award for exceptional customer service in York and the north-east was presented to EweMove York atThe British Property Awards.

EweMove York, which was launched in March 2014 by branch director Nick Neill, was presented with the award by Martin Roberts, of BBC1’s Homes Under The Hammer, at a ceremony in London.

In the awards, which are free to enter, agents’ standards of service are judged by mystery shoppers who assess them against a set of 25 criteria covering different mediums, scenarios and times to ensure rigorous and fair judging.

Robert McLean, from The British Property Awards, said: “Agents which win our awards do so for fantastic levels of customer service across a prolonged period of time which can provide a benchmark for their local competition.”

EweMove York associate director Simon Burbridge, who received the award, says: “Like many businesses which operate in a competitive market, we realise that clients demand a very high standard of service, especially as buying or selling homes is often very stressful, and we are delighted that our commitment to this, which is central to our business, is recognised by this prestigious award.”

The award is the second this summer for EweMove York, which was voted the Most Trusted Estate Agent in the city based on hundreds of reviews left from satisfied customers on the independent review website Trustpilot.com in August.
