A FIRM whose parent company has its headquarters in York and provides packaging print and design services to some of the world’s biggest household brands has set up a new facility and invested in state-of-the-art equipment with support from Yorkshire Bank.

YRG Eclipse Ltd is part of YRG (York Repro-Graphic) Group Ltd, which operates six sites across the UK, Ireland and Kenya, including its headquarters in York. The business is regarded a global leader within the packaging, canning and labelling industries.

Founded in 1974, YRG provides a full range of pre-press and reprographic services including a comprehensive concept-to-print management service to the FMCG sector, retailers, brands and print clients. Its customers include Cadbury, Kellogg’s, Hovis Bread, Dulux and Pizza Express.

The business recently acquired and refurbished a new facility in Cottingham, East Yorkshire, which specialises in designing and producing packaging mock-ups.

The site is equipped with some of the industry’s most cutting edge print and plate processing technology. Specialist machinery has also been installed to recycle all processing solvents to help reduce waste pollution and reduce costs.

The purchase and fit-out was assisted by a £2 million funding package from Yorkshire Bank’s North Yorkshire Customer Banking Centre, delivered by relationship manager Jeremy Bowers, who has known the directors of the business for over 25 years.

YRG’s managing director, Mark Gration, said he hoped the investment would help increase its client base.
