A YORK hairdressing salon has been shortlisted for a top award.
Evolve Hairdressing in Bishopthorpe Road is one of six businesses to be on the shortlist for the Salon of the Year award at the Hairdressers Journal International’s British Hairdressing Business Awards. The winners will be announced on September 12.
Evolve’s owner, Linzi Gill, said: “Showing that we are a serious business contender is important for us, we are naturally known for our creativity as hairdressers, but the art of commerce is key to any successful business and we are delighted to be recognised by HJ’s award system in this way.
“It’s a great hair day for us and our team to shine within such a massive industry.”
Hairdressers Journal International’s executive director, Jayne Lewis-Orr, said: “It is a great honour to have salons like Evolve Hairdressing within the industry, they are setting a new benchmark for other salons to follow.”
