NEW signs have been put up on a prominent York building which is home to a city legal firm.

The new signage at Ware & Kay Solicitors is designed to improve visibility for visitors to their offices.

David Hyams, director, said: “The Ware & Kay offices occupy a highly prominent site on the York inner ring road due to the distinctive ‘Red Clock’ which is an important feature of the building and our profile.

“We were delighted to work with property consultants Lawrence Hannah, who helped to achieve a successful application with City of York Council.

“As we are in a conservation area the signs could not be overly intrusive in terms of positioning and size, but we were able to improve the prominence of the signage by lightly increasing the size of the lettering and changing the colour scheme.

“The important aspect to the new signage is that the changes add value and the signs will be more visible. The simplicity of the signs will help to promote the firm and we are delighted with the impact.”

Chris Smith, from Lawrence Hannah, said they were happy to help with getting permission for the new signs.
