A PLUMBER and heating engineer from York and a joiner from Harrogate are due to go head-to-head today in the regional heat of the Screwfix Britain’s Top Tradesperson awards.

Rowan Wytchwood, 23, from York, and Andrew Nattrass, 42, from Harrogate, are among five finalists from across Yorkshire who will be seeking to impress the judges and win a place in the national final at Wembley.

Mr Wytchwood, who trades under the name, R Wytchwood Wright, had a keen interest in construction since school and started his own business at the age of 22. He believes his customer service, determination and persistence, as well as a strong work ethic, will help him to stand out from the crowd.

“I pride myself on producing a consistently high standard and I have built a great client base over time, it’s been an incredible journey so far.

“I love nothing more than going above and beyond for customers and seeing the result of my work.

“I really hope I make it to the national finals and to win the title of Brittan’s Top Tradesperson would be the most memorable achievement in my career so far.”

Mr Nattrass, who trades under the name Andrew Nattrass Joinery Limited, started his own business 20 years ago. Andrew thinks his passion for training up apprentices, customer commitment and can-do attitude will help him to stand out from the crowd.
