THE Forward Ladies group has extended the deadline for applications to its 2016 Women in Business Awards until June 24.

The extension is due to the high volume of late nominations received.

Griselda Togobo, managing director of Forward Ladies, said: “We don’t want to disappoint those who have nominated their colleagues and peers, so to give the nominees time to complete the full application, we have extended the deadline to ensure that every one who has been nominated has the time to send in their application.”

The awards are open to business women from start-ups to inspiring leaders, and are completely free to enter. Women can either nominate themselves or be nominated by a colleague or business associate.

The regional heat for the awards for Yorkshire, the North East and Scotland will be held in Newcastle. Full dates and details are on the website www.forwardladies.com/national-awards/

All category winners from each region will then compete for the overall title of the Business Woman of the Year at the national final to be held in Leeds in December.
