TWO sisters have been unveiled as the faces of East Yorkshire-based goat dairy St Helen’s Farm, appearing on one million cartons which will be on supermarket shelves this month.

Kyra and Zendaya Powell, from Leeds, became St Helen’s Farm’s latest carton stars after eldest sister Kyra wrote to the dairy to say what an impact drinking goat’s milk had had on both her and her sister’s wellbeing.

The girls, aged 11 and three, have been drinking St Helen’s Farm goats’ milk since Zendaya suffered with a reflux when she was a baby and found cows’ milk only made things worse. The family was advised to visit the doctor and Zendaya was referred to a paediatrician when her condition did not improve.

St Helen’s Farm, based in Seaton Ross, near Pocklington, is celebrating its 30th year of business this year. It is home to a large herd of milking goats and a modern dairy that produces a range of products, from milk to cheese, yoghurt and ice cream.

Marketing manager Vicky Unwin said: “It’s fantastic that both children enjoy the taste and have experienced benefits from switching to our milk. We hear many great stories about customers who have overcome health or wellbeing issues by making the simple switch to goats’ milk from cows’ milk.

“Many people who can’t drink cows’ milk can drink goats’ milk – and tell us their intolerance symptoms are reduced or disappear altogether. These symptoms often include: eczema; asthma; bloatedness; constipation; digestive discomfort and catarrh.”
