A FAMILY run chocolate producer has moved to larger premises following a period of growth at the York-based venture.
After three years of being based in Clifton Moor, Guppy’s Chocolates has moved into bigger premises in London Ebor Business Park off Millfield Lane, to give the business more space following an increase in trade.
The business is owned by husband and wife team Fran and Peter Guppy, who first set up their chocolate business from their garage at home in 2010 after leaving careers in the financial services sector.
Mr Guppy said: "It was always a dream of ours to have our own family business and we pride ourselves on carrying on the family traditions of the Rowntree’s and Terry’s families, hand-making great quality chocolates in the city of York."
Guppy’s Chocolates now supplies its handmade chocolates to more than 70 independent businesses around Yorkshire and beyond. They also have a small shop at their premises.
