A YORK developer is set to expend its out of city business park after a "strong year" of office and warehouse tenancy deals.

S Harrison Developments has secured planning consent for 10,000sq ft of additional office space at Escrick Business Park, between York and Selby.

National sports and fitness equipment supplier Sportsafe was among the latest businesses to secure office space at the park.

S Harrison Developments was advised on the deal and other transactions, by Emma Warner, a commercial property partner at York-based Langleys Solictors.

Phil Hill, of S Harrison, said: "The situation at Escrick is very positive. All of the 14 warehouse units are occupied and we have also welcomed some exciting new businesses to our office accommodation.

"The recent installation of ultrafast fibre broadband high-speed broadband has added to the Park’s appeal.

"There is a big opportunity for further expansion with planning permission granted for 10,000 sq ft of additional office space.

"We are looking for growing businesses that want to design and build their own offices. They can influence the internal layouts and specifications of the property in order to create a truly bespoke working space."

More than 150 people now work at the business park, with occupiers including High Voltage Maintenance Services, F Parkinson and Kleijnen Systematic Reviews.

Emma Warner said: "Escrick Business Park has certainly been keeping us busy. It has all the ingredients to enable a growing business to thrive such as good transport links and high-speed broadband. We look forward to seeing the next stage in the development of this modern business hub."
