AN IT solutions provider has secured two new contract wins across Yorkshire after introductions through the York and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce.

Scarborough-based Care Micro Systems, which was founded in 1992, has gained contracts with Leeds Beckett University and FSBD in Malton..

Leeds Beckett University’s Enterprise and Innovation Hub, a patron of West and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce, contracted Care Micro Systems to support business tenants in its office suites by setting up individual systems as they move in and to support them throughout the period of their lease.

Freelance sales and business development company FSBD wanted Care Micro Systems to devise and implement a system that enabled users to share digital documents internally while still being able to access numerous clients separately and securely.

Care Micro Systems managing director, Mike Shingler, said: "Winning these two accounts has shown that being able to meet and talk to potential clients during an informal event, such as a York & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce lunch, is a very effective way to convince a prospect of our ability to provide a quality service based on their individual needs."

Originally established as an IT hardware supply and maintenance provider to businesses in Yorkshire and surrounding counties, Care Micro Systems formed a software support department in 1996.

Since then, the company has developed to become a total solutions provider, and today has 15 full time staff plus approved contractors, and a turnover of around £750,000.
