A MEATBALL speciality restaurant group is rolling into the second half of a crowdfunding campaign on track to hit its £100,000 target.

The Yorkshire Meatball Co., which has restaurants in York and Harrogate, is looking to hit the six-figure as part of growth plans, which include taking the business to a national audience, launching a retail range in UK supermarkets and adding a further two restaurants to its portfolio while expanding its

The campaign has so far raised just under £40,000, equating to 40 per cent of the overall funding target.

David Atkinson, co-founder of The Yorkshire Meatball Co. said: "We are exactly where we planned to be at this stage in the campaign.

"It is gaining huge interest from potential investors of varying sizes, with more than 6,700 pitch views on Crowdcube and more than 90 business plans requested.

"We continue to generate positive conversations with a variety of highly influential potential stakeholders from within the hospitality, retail and other industries.

"A number of investment pledges to date have been at £5,000, which puts us in a strong position for further potential funding, as it shows the level of confidence that investors have in our ambitious growth plans."

The target of £100,000 will generate around 9.05 percent equity of the overall business. A range of incentives are being made available for potential investors, with rewards being offered from £100 up to £10,000.
