A PAIR of twins from the North Yorkshire will realise their dream when they open a children's nursery next month.

Louisa and Annabel Marshall live in Wistow, near Selby, and have wanted to open a nursery since they carried out voluntary work with children when they were both students at Read secondary school in Drax.

The Maisy Moo's Day Nursery will open in a detached bungalow in Station Road, Wistow, which was the twins former family home, and their family have moved out to live in nearby to enable the nursery to start up.

The 21-year-olds have both completed B-TEC national diplomas in Children's Level 3 at Selby College, and Louisa has a leadership management qualification. She has also undertaken enhanced safeguarding training, while Annabel is studying for a BA (Hons) degree in early childhood studies at York St John University and will be working at the nursery two days a week.

Louisa said: "This has been a dream since working with children at secondary school. We think the nursery will be an ideal place for children to learn the mission statements of life."

The nursery, which has two departments, Baby Moo's for children to the age of two, and Mini Moo's for 2-4 year olds.

There is a sensory room, also a messy room with outdoor garden space and home-cooked meals will be available for the children.

An open day will be held at the nursery on Saturday (Feb 13), between 9am and 3pm, and everyone is welcome. Alternatively, to arrange a visit outside the open day, phone 07837211890.
