AN INDEPENDENT Mexican restaurant in York's city centre has been bought by a French businessman with assistance from local law firm Hethertons.
Fiesta Latina, in Clifford Street, has been acquired by York Restaurant Ltd owned and run by Fabrice Villoutreix, who is yet to reveal his plans for the restaurant.
During the acquisition, Hethertons acted on behalf of York Restaurant Ltd to ensure the requirements of the business were met during the sale and the acquisition of the restaurant went ahead smoothly.
Simon Crack, head of the Business Support Unit at Hethertons, which has offices at York Business Park and in Boroughbridge, said: "Fiesta Latina is a very popular restaurant and represents an excellent opportunity for York Restaurant Ltd.
"We were glad that we were able to offer the advice and services that Fabrice and his team required to complete the transaction on this wonderful city centre restaurant.
"York is an excellent place to do business and in recent months we have helped a number of entrepreneurs realise their dreams of moving to this historic city."
