A GLOBAL online marketing firm has expanded its York headquarters to accommodate its growing international team of staff in its customer services division.

Webcertain, which has been based in York for more than ten years, has leased a further 6,000 sq ft office building at Northminster Business Park's Acer House, in Poppleton, where it already occupies three other adjacent properties housing its marketing linguistics, marketing translation and 24-7 online marketing TV channel - Webcertain.TV.

Founded by chief executive Andy Atkins-Kruger, Webcertain delivers online marketing services to global brands in the US, Europe and Asia.

It’s in-house team of nationals from all over the world speaks 44 languages delivering centralised services and access to online markets around the world.

As well as its offices in York, Webcertain also has bases in Barcelona, Spain and in Beijing, China as well as in several European cities.

Mr Atkins-Kruger said: "We look for quality of life for our staff and both York and Barcelona offer that in droves - it makes a big difference when you’re recruiting staff from all over the world, speaking many different languages, to be able to offer them that.

"Our locations are also chosen to help keep our services competitive - don’t expect a Webcertain office in the centre of a major capital any time soon.

"We originally selected Northminster Business Park for its quality environment, great high-tech buildings and easy access for staff from York, Harrogate and Leeds and that remains true today."

Webcertain delivers global online marketing services to household names such as Xerox, Survey Monkey and leading Russian search engine Yandex.

The multilingual services offered cover content marketing, search engine optimisation, social media and pay per click as well as translation, training and web site development and management. The business also has an international marketing school in Barcelona.

Richard Flanagan of Flanagan James Property Consultants in York, who advised Caenby Ltd, the owners of Acer House, said: "We are pleased to have been able to assist Caenby in agreeing a new lease of this high quality office building to Webcertain.

"The negotiations and legal process were undertaken quickly and efficiently, thanks to the efforts of all parties concerned."
