YORK fleet management company Autohorn is primed for international brand exposure after agreeing a sponsorship deal to work in partnership with York Racecourse.

The deal, which has been agreed for the fourth consecutive year, will see racecourse staff benefit from the use of one of Autohorn’s four wheel drive vehicles throughout the year.

Leeman Road-based Autohorn, which has grown over 20 years to become a £7.5 million turnover firm with 70 staff, will also supply a number of additional vehicles on race days to provide a VIP shuttle service to and from the racecourse.

Head of Marketing and Sponsorship at York Racecourse James Brennan said: "We always like to work with local businesses and Autohorn is one which we are thrilled to have on board.

"Their ethos of high quality, great service and reliability makes them exactly the kind of company we want to partner with. Their presence at the racecourse gives them an exceptional level of exposure with the racegoers and public which I am sure helps to boost their brand awareness."

Autohorn will benefit from on course signage and branding, visible to the 360,000 racecourse visitors and the millions of television viewers who will follow the live action from York on the fourteen days that Channel 4 cameras visit the Knavesmire. The company also benefits from a corporate entertainment package.

Autohorn managing director Lee Underwood, said: "We decided to partner with the racecourse because they share the same company values as us and are leading the way in becoming one of the most environmentally friendly racecourses.

"It’s great to be able to support such an iconic institution as York Racecourse and I am delighted that they have chosen to partner with Autohorn. They are a great team to work with and we really enjoy being part of it."

Autohorn specialises in fleet management for companies that run fleets of vehicles. It also provides personal vehicle leasing under its 1st Car Leasing brand and offers vehicle rental from its Europcar franchise at York Railway Station.
