A DOG-loving mother and daughter have turned their passion for pooches into a canine business.
Cressida and Laura Poole have opened Country Dogs in Meeting House Court in Helmsley to offer upmarket accessories for man’s best friend.
The joint owners, aged 56 and 26, live in Helmsley and have five dogs themselves.
Miss Poole said: "The aim is to provide country-loving dog people with accessories and other items they will need.
“We also do tweed cushions and gifts.”
Miss Poole was previously the manager of award-winning Hunters deli in Helmsley Market Place, but this is the first time mother and daughter have combined forces to create their own business venture together.
Miss Poole said: "We’ve worked it out quite well, and trade has been very good.
"We just hope it keeps going like that. A lot of people have been buying for Christmas."
