YORK based Hethertons Solicitors has selected as a finalist for the Yorkshire Legal Awards - becoming the only firm from the city to make this year's shortlist.

The firm, which has offices in York Business Park and Boroughbridge, has been named as a finalist for the employment law category at this year’s awards.

The awards, organised by Barker Brooks Communications, publishers of Leeds & Yorkshire Lawyer magazine, bring together the region’s legal community every year to celebrate the sector’s achievements during the previous 12 months.

Hethertons will find out whether they have won the award at a ceremony on November 22 at New Dock Hall – a £350 million waterfront development in the heart of Leeds.

Jo Yeates, head of the firm’s employment law team, said: "We are all absolutely delighted to be shortlisted for this award and we are hoping that we will come home with a trophy later on this year.

"However, to even be shortlisted is a massive honour and we feel that this reflects the exceptional service that we offer to our clients."
