AN increase of business in the York area has seen expanding Yorkshire law firm Switalskis relocated its York team to a new city centre office.

Switalskis’ York and Acomb based teams have moved to the new flagship office at in Back Swinegate in a move aimed at placing the firm at the heart of York’s community and bringing the expertise of its lawyers all under one roof.

Switalskis’ office in York Road, Acomb, which had been trading under the name Burridge Bloss incorporating Switalskis Solicitors, will now close, with all of the staff members at Acomb moving across to the York city centre office.

Lorrette Law, senior director at Switalskis, said: "This is a very exciting development, not only for our team of lawyers, but for the whole firm as it further strengthens our position as one of Yorkshire’s leading legal firms.

"Client service and accessibility is central to our ethos as a firm and with three branches in key locations in North Yorkshire, our expert legal teams are well placed to deliver the wide range of legal services our clients have come to expect."

The move comes as a result of increasing business in York and the surrounding areas, as well as a need to find a more modern and fitting location for Switalskis’ York operations.

The firm has recently expanded its presence in North Yorkshire and the new city centre office will complement existing sites in Boston Spa and Knaresborough.

Switalskis now provides legal services from 12 Yorkshire towns and cities, including Wakefield, Leeds, Bradford and Huddersfield.
