YORK law firm Hethertons has recruited a new solicitor to strengthen its Business Support Unit.

Jessica Roberts has recently joined the firm, which has offices in York and Boroughbridge, as part of an ongoing expansion of the practice’s team.

Ms has been appointed as Hethertons’ new head of Corporate Law and will be responsible for working with a range of businesses to deliver all aspects of company commercial law, from company incorporations, through to terms and conditions, commercial contracts and acquisitions.

Ms Roberts began her career with a law firm in Leeds, having qualified in 2001, before moving back to her home town of York, where she has worked for another local firm and developed a number of important business contacts in the town.

GROWING York and Wetherby law firm, Ware & Kay Solicitors, has strengthened its litigation team with the appointment of Anna Roughley.

Ms Roughley, who studied at York St. John University joins as a paralegal, specialising in Litigation and Dispute Resolution.

She graduated from BPP Law School in Leeds and will be based at Ware & Kay Solicitors office in York.

Ware & Kay Solicitors senior director Peter Kay, said: "Anna is one of a number of appointments we are making and a great addition to our litigation team where she will work with Steven Partridge, director and head of litigation.

AWARD winning PR and communications agency Acceleris has announced five staff appointments in its Harrogate and London offices, as it continues its expansion following an array of successful new client pitches.

Zoe Hebblethwaite joins the Harrogate office as senior account manager, bringing extensive in-house and agency experience at national and international levels.

Graduates Katie Wadsworth and Dan Stead also join Acceleris’ Harrogate office as account executives after completing short-term placements with the agency’s Acceleris Academy, which provides internships and work experience for students.

Laura-Fay Shields joins the Harrogate team in a split role, working as both a copywriter to support the continued growth of Acceleris’ specialist content generation division, Writers Inc., and a as a PR account executive.

Acceleris’ London office also has a new face: account executive, David Mayers, joins the team after graduating from Leeds Beckett University’s Public Relations undergraduate course and undertaking a work experience placement with London Stock Exchange Group.
